    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;I just got a daylab 35+ with a 4x5 base, to do transfers and lifts. The recommended polaroid film is pretty pricey, compared to the 3x4 version. I'm wondering if there are good non-polaroid film alternatives that work just as well?&lt;/div&gt;

&lt;br/&gt;I've done cyanotypes and van dyke brown's. I'm going to try salt prints sometime over the summer if I have the time. &lt;/div&gt;

    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;Somewhere I saw some intereting shots taken with film that was like 70 or 80 years out of date.  Anyone heard of this kind of thing?  I was wondering what the effects on collor film would be if you baked it in the oven for a while before shooting it.  Or maybe microwaved it.  Anyone tried this kind of thing?&lt;/div&gt;

    <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;Deadline August 19: Soho Photo Gallery, the oldest artist-run photography gallery in New York City, is accepting entries from all U.S. residents age 18 and older for its 1st Annual Alternative Processes Competition. 25 - 30 photographers will be selected to exhibit their winning entries in a group show at Soho Photo Gallery from October 5 to 30. Eligible photo media include: cyanotype, VanDyke, platinum, palladium, Kwik Print©, gum bichromate, bromoil, gumoil, calotype, tintype, daguerreotype, and Polaroid© transfer (to check on additional acceptable media, contact Colleen Healy, scyllaorcharibdys@yahoo.com or 917-435-7263.) Silver prints, c-prints, and digital prints will not be accepted; free standing work or images larger in any dimension than 5 feet will not be accepted.     <summary type="html">&lt;div&gt;Hi! I've been a little slow in getting this tribe up and running, but I hope to get it together shortly. I've done some cyanotypes, Van Dyke browns, and polaroid transfers in the past, and hope to start up again. I'm also very interested in modifying toy cameras, Polaroids, etc. I hope to fuse to two obsessions in the near future, and will post some images.
